Regardless of size, color, or location, it is difficult to estimate the number of treatments it will take to completely remove a tattoo. There are various types of tattoos including professional, amateur, and surgical. Many factors determine the course of treatment including the types of ink and the colors used to comprise the tattoo as well as the depth of the pigment. India ink tattoos respond best to laser treatments, but still require multiple treatments. Professional black and red tattoos react positively to laser treatments, whereas yellow and green inks are much more difficult to remove.
