Dr. Donald Richey

A graduate of the University of Oregon Medical School, now known as Oregon Health Sciences University, Dr. Richey completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Richey is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Histopathology. His practice of Medical and Surgical Dermatology spans three decades, with the addition of an aesthetic component, Rejuvené, in the past ten years.

Known as a leader in Cosmetic Dermatology, Dr. Richey has participated extensively in research and education in this field. He has developed state of the art technologies, treatments and procedures available at Rejuvené, comparable to those found in any major metropolitan area. He continues to aggressively pursue emerging information by participating in multiple aesthetic conferences throughout the United States every year.

In addition to having published articles on various aspects of Cosmetic Dermatology in Aesthetic Medicine periodicals, Dr. Richey has been a presenter at gatherings of professional groups of Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons. This year he participated as a speaker during the prestigious American Academy of Dermatology.

He is the founder of Brighter Days, a program dedicated to serving patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Once a month he volunteers his time to meet with these individuals to counsel them in the management of conditions of the skin, hair, and nails that may occur during their treatment period.

A dedicated competitor, Dr. Richey’s athletic accomplishments are abundant, including the completion of three Canadian Ironman triathlons and the Boston Marathon. His most ardent hobby is cycling.

Dr. Richey and his wife, Mary, have lived and worked in the Chico community for 39 years. They have four children and nine grandchildren.
